Lake Worth is filled with inspiring women and we chose to bring in a hula hoop class to Luna Cottage because of the extraordinary hula hoop teacher who teaches in South Florida. Hula hooping is a fun and expressive way to keep fit and work off some stress from the day. Just shake and twist the stress away! Hoopdance as she calls it really celebrates your body as a female and the rhythm of life all around you! Hula hooping for addiction recovery is what we offer our residents to help give them a hobby or an outlet and we believe that it works.
Exercise is known to be a stress reliever and boost your feel-good endorphins and hooping exercises 30 core muscles, improves balance and tones the body.
Hula Hooping will:

Hula hooping is a sport that sometimes seems unattainable and once the ladies learn to hoop they experience the bonus of accomplishing something that seemed so far fetched. The feeling of accomplishments early in recovery really helps to show the women that they can do what seemed impossible and if they can accomplish hooping then the sky is the limit.
Hula hooping has gained popularity over recent years and we came across a wonderful story of a person who became addicted to pain killers and claims that hooping saved his life.
