What is a Women’s Sober House?
Sober Living For Women. Reset, Refresh & Energize
A women’s sober house is a safe and serene home that is designed specifically to assist women in maintaining their goals of sobriety and recovery from addiction in a positive and encouraging manner. While many women who come to stay at a women’s sober house have recently completed detox, some may be in the process of transitioning from a rehabilitation facility.
What are the benefits of a women’s sober house?
A women’s sober house can provide residents with an encouraging and supportive environment that enables them to discover new ways of coping with their addiction.
- Women who stay at a transitional home after treatment are much more likely to remain sober throughout the years than women who return to their surroundings directly.
- Women learn new ways to cope with daily stresses and circumstances that might trigger their addiction.
- Women are taught various arts, techniques, activities, and practices that enable them to develop therapeutic hobbies that they can enjoy for years to come.
- Our sober house encourages incorporation of traditional forms of therapy with alternative techniques in order to maximize a woman’s chances of maintaining sobriety.
What kind of activities are offered?
A number of activities and educational opportunities are offered to residents that focus on building self-esteem and confidence, overcoming addiction, reaching physical, mental, and spiritual health, and achieving the ability to enjoy life to the fullest while remaining sober. Some of these include:
- Organic Gardening
- Massage Therapy
